About Our Society's Coat of Arms (pictured above): The Coat of Arms consists of a band of gold across a red shield. The flaming lamp in the upper right signifies knowledge and the laurel sprays are traditional symbols of achievement. Above the shield, surrounded by a smaller wreath, is the cup of knowledge. The torse of red and gold signifies inspiration.
